Brownie called the meeting to order @  Chuck's Landing in Plano. Pledge of Allegiance was recited and a moment of silence was observed. Officer roll call was taken w/all officers present. There were 25 D-12 members, 3 D-14 members and 12 guests present.

 

 

Secretary'sReport:             Cheryl read last month's minutes, motion to approve minutes as written by Tom,2nd by Anna, motion carried, with 1 opposed.

 

Cookie's Monthly Recipe:      Cookie gave the monthly recipe, motion to approve by Charlie, 2nd by Dave, Motion carried.   

 

Legislative Report:     Mark said this season is almost over and now that the bill to ban smoking in public was passed there will likely be many side effects of this ban, taxes going up, etc. so stay aware of what's developing.

 

 

MRF Report      Scott said HIPAA and the right to repair had 100 co-sponsors on that bill. Heartland Steam will be April 25-26 in Aberdeen SD....Best of the West will be June 13-15 in Vancouver WA and The Meeting of the Minds will be Sept. 25-28 in Denver CO.

Share the Road:        Jim  had a presentation in Ottumwa on April 7th w/29 kids, next will be April 28th in Fairfield 9 a.m. till 1 p.m.  May 8th 6 p.m. in Albia and June 16th in Bloomfield at 10 a.m. There will be a trike show in the Pulaski City Park around noon on May 25th and Jim&Pats 41st anniversary will be May 27th....CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

 

 

 Old Business:          Flyers for this year's PIG OUT were chosen and details for volunteer's, security, bands, bike rodeo, clean up and other details were discussed. Prize donations are NEEDED for the bike rodeo, so start checking to see who has some items to donate to this fun event. Any volunteers will meet w/Chuck's employee's at 7 p.m. Thursday June 5th to discuss security, gate, etc. Food details will be finalized, and details for the Fun Run will be discussed at the next month's meeting. Discussed selling sds for the bac of this year's T-shirts.

 

    

New Business:                  The Eagle Riders from Centerville have joined as a Support Organization. Welcome to D-12 !!!  A discussion was held on how to vote for Channel 17 ads covering the Freedom Rally and ABATE, motion by Charlie to voet yes, 2nd by Jim, Motion carried to vote yes on this coverage w/1 opposed. This year's JDC Memorial Ride will be Saturday June 14th and will end at the Southside in Russell. Check out the flyer for more info, also 2007 shirts are still available so call (641-203-0921) for size info.

 

Member of the month was Linda Holmes.                R&L Trucking bought an ad for this year's PIG OUT shirts. THANK YOU Rick and Linda!
